Windshield shear angles perform best somewhere between 45° and 60° from a straight 90° as measured from the hood plane. Our Spin4Air Windshield is engineered to fall within those 2 sweet spots in the range of travel. The beauty of the Spin4Air Windshield engineering is that there is NO NEED TO STOP the vehicle to make a blade adjustment!

Materials
Polycarbonate is the plastic sheet used when safety and security plastics are required. Polycarbonate is renowned for its high impact strength; it has 250 times the impact strength of glass and 30 times that of acrylic. This system is designed to be mounted on a motorcycle…you’d much rather have the material Police use for Riot Shields than worry about an insignificant 3% clarity factor. Our ¼ inch thick shields are literally Debris Proof; try that with an Acrylic shield!! The center support for the Spin4Air Shield is manufactured using 3/8 inch Polycarbonate sheet which boasts a 9000 PSI impact resistance.
